KAPALABHATI (SKULL SHINNING BREATH)
Kapalabhati Pranayama, also known as Skull Shining Breath. This is an energising breathing practice that clears the lungs, the nasal passages, and the mind. In Sanskrit, Kapal means “Skull’ and bhati means “Shinning” Kapalabhati therefore brings lightness and clarity to the frontal region of the brain.
BEST TIME TO PRACTICE: Kapalabhati is to be practiced early in the morning, before breakfast.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Kapalabhati should not be practiced during pregnancy or menstruation
Do not practice if you suffer from high or low blood pressure, heart disease, hernia, gastric ulcer, epilepsy, vertigo, migraine headaches, significant nosebleeds, detached retina, glaucoma, history of stroke, and for anyone who has undergone recent abdominal surgery
If you experience vertigo during or after this practice, please discontinue until you can consult with a qualified yoga teacher
Do not practice immediately after a meal (at-least a minimum of 2 hours gap)
